It’s summer. It’s hot. A cool treat would hit the spot but are any of you willing to experiment from my top ten list of flavors? I admit I’m not game to try most of them. I might try #5, #7, or #8. But that’s it.
1) Raw horse flesh flavored ice cream from Japan. It’s described as vanilla ice cream, but significantly chewier.
2) In Maine you can go to Ben and Bill’s Chocolate Emporium, who since 1988, has been churning out the popular delicacy – lobster ice cream with buttery vanilla to compliment it.

3) In Sunni Sky’s in Angier, North Carolina you can get an ice cream called Cold Sweat made with hot sauce, habaneros, and ghost peppers.

4) Caesar salad ice cream is on my list. However, it’s only served as an accompaniment to another dish.
5) I give you a recipe for garlic ice cream, which is described as still being sweet with a hint of garlic in it.

6) Foie Gras ice cream, which is just the same thing, except frozen. Here’s the recipe.
7) Olive oil ice cream is becoming more popular because the oil gives the ice cream a creamier texture and buttery flavor. Here is one place to find it. The Salt and Straw.
8) Sparky’s Homemade Ice cream on FB apparently makes their own Mountain Dew and Doritos ice cream, which has become quite the sensation and I admit I’m very curious. Link to their FB page here.
9) The South Dakota Drug Store is one of the only places you can mix dill pickles into your ice cream. I’ve snagged the IG link. You’re welcome.

10) And last but not least, the ever popular Deviled Egg Ice Cream which you can eat at Disney World. Why? Just why, people?
