A brand new action film, The Charisma Killers, just hit video-on-demand streaming services (on November 1st). I gave it a view, and I must say, it is a violent thrill-ride that truly didn’t have a dull moment, and I recommend checking it out. Written and directed by Michael Matteo Rossi, this film brings a mix of laughs, drama, and over-the-top entertainment to the table, available for only $4 on YouTube and $5 on Prime and Apple. A bargain if you’re into action-packed crime films.
Plot:
When the old mentor of seven killers finds out he has terminal cancer, he gives them all an opportunity at his fortune to prove themselves for one night only, by exacting revenge.
Actor Vernon Wells (Commando, Innerspace, Weird Science) plays the ill-fated leader of the killers, whom they treat as a respected father figure. The entire cast was pretty strong, and it was nice to see Vanessa Angel again, whom I loved in Weird Science and Kingpin.
With names like Rope, Psycho, and One Hit Hustle, you know from the onset of this film that the characters have some unhinged violence in store. But who is the most violent character in the lot? Wow, that’s hard to say…
I think Psycho has the most fun with it, though…
