The first annual Weird Wide Web fiction competition went off without a hitch!

Stats: 157 short stories received. And in the 10 weeks it took us between the contest start date and making our final decisions, only 2 stories were withdrawn! Which means most of you hung on until the bitter end! Thank you!

Yes! A big thank you to ALL the writers who entered… for the laughs, the cringes, the scares, the feels, and the deep thinking moments your stories provided! It wasn’t an easy decision. Which is why I hope you will submit again to the Strange Behavior Micro Fiction Contest.

Sure, sure. The cash prizes are smaller this time around. Last writing competition, first prize was $75. This is because Weird Wide Web will do ONE contest per year for longer fiction (between 1-4K words), and one competition for shorter works. With the micro fiction contest, we can offer more authors a chance in the spotlight with TEN winning slots, each winner receiving a $10 payment and publication on the website.
