LISTEN UP! Top Ten Underrated Bands!

Okay, weirdos…

I promised to cover “alternative lifestyles” on this blog, and I know one thing for sure: Where you find ALT LIFE, you find MUSIC.

BUT… if you have ever uttered the (bullshit) phrase: “That’s not singing. That’s screaming”… This article is not for you. Or… Maybe it is! Because you have a lot of learning to do!

The fact is, metal bands work harder than pop musicians when it comes to composing their music, always looking for new techniques to give their sound that special edge. The vocals are difficult to master, and if not done correctly, can wreak havoc on the human throat (which is why some fans speculate that Will Ramos of Lorna Shore is part Pterodactyl). So, please, show some respect! Sooooome of us have been practicing these songs in the shower for years and still sound like a wounded donkey in heat. (Me. 😒)

The talent of the average metal instrumentalist in today’s scene is often mind-blowing. Musicians have taken what our Rock Forefathers gave us decades ago and evolved it into an immersive experience. Talk about underrated! These guys are shredding a thousand notes per second, and still, they must wade through jaded criticisms to find their niche and the respect they so deserve. It’s TOUGH to be BRUTAL! But not today, guys. Today we are CELEBRATING UNDERRATED BANDS!

First up is a UK band called Iridium. Are you KIDDING ME? At about 2 minutes and 45 seconds in, my ears perked up and never laid back down.

Number three: Saviour. To be honest, I don’t know much about this band and haven’t had any luck finding out more because their name is so basic it confuses my search results. I really dig this song, though.
